The Mother Anatomy

examines the resilience of the female body and the intersection of motherhood, transformation, and self-acceptance. Rooted in my own experience of navigating physical change after childbirth, this series reflects on my decision to undergo reconstructive surgery following Diastasis Recti—a choice driven by comfort and healing rather than vanity. Through these images, I seek to challenge misconceptions around plastic surgery, acknowledging it as both a medical and emotional journey. The work invites reflection on autonomy, vulnerability, and the strength found in reclaiming one’s body.
